StartWell is Toronto’s home for innovative work and media production.
Our unique campus merges lounge & meeting space with furnished/serviced offices and professional media production studios.
Over the years we’ve played host to companies as diverse and exciting as Cronos Group, Github, BEworks, Loreal Canada, Shopify, BitFury, Canopy Growth, Gusto Worldwide and many more – plus the studio of choice for media shoots commissioned by brands including Joe Fresh and Nobis.

We are looking for a producer to manage end to end film productions on campus; including first person interviews, livestreams and more for publishing on our digital magazine (http://startwell.co/magazine/) and for clients.
Our in house gear list is extensive and you would be expected to use a mixture of Canon 90d cameras plus BlackMagic pocket 6k cameras plus lavs, vocal mics, shotguns, streaming gear including BlackMagic ATEM hardware and lighting in full studio setups as well as location shots in various meeting spaces at StartWell.
The chosen applicant will be a confident person who enjoys all aspects of production and who wants to take on control of setups, production and post, we’ll familiar with editing on DaVinci Resolve.
You should be as familiar working with audio as video and have an understanding of photography as well.
Humility is an asset at StartWell – you will be responsible for all streaming gear, setups and client needs; working with our internal team and amazing clients including Mercedes Benz, Shopify, L’Oréal, Nobis, GitHub and many more.
We are looking for someone who can solo produce an interview with a CEO of a billion dollar company whilst also ensuring the smooth operation of a Google Meet session in our meeting rooms for example – this mixture should seem fun to you if you’re the right person.
Salary: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

SOCIAL: The role is customer facing and requires a social skill set – you must be comfortable directing guests on campus to various spaces for meetings and productions and also enjoy working with our dynamic and diverse coworking member population. You will also be leading tours of our meeting, office and studio spaces – so salesmanship (without being pushy) as helpful.
TECHNICAL: Additionally you must be comfortable supporting our technology in rooms (video conferencing cameras, microphones, screens and printers for the most part) and explaining how they work to guests on campus. We are a hybrid work environment that enables agile teams to come together with in-room and virtual experiences – if you love how technology can change the way people work then this might be the most fun you’ve ever had at a job. Additionally, you will be managing sales leads in Streak – our Google based CRM, so familiarity with CRMs
HOSPITALITY: Our reception combines concierge services with cafe – so you’ll be expected to brew coffee and restock cafe amenities as needed through the day. A big part of our experience is grounded in hospitality – so making guests feel welcome at our cafe (which offers fresh micro-roaster coffee, tea brewed on demand by a robot, plus reverse-osmosis sparkling and still water as self-service complimentary amenities.)
