Engage your audience with our unique stage experience
The StartWell Event Studio is a pre-configured environment for high impact presentations. We've played host to panel discussions, round tables, keynote addresses, interactive performances, team-building activities and much more.
Our stage features a unique cyclorama (cornerless) wall which blends into the floor - creating a seamless backdrop for your presentations, plus we have 3 ceiling mounted projectors and theatrical lighting to create atmosphere and relate instant branding and important information.
Space to socialize, outside of presentations
Our main entrance leads past coat-check, through an open concept kitchen/bar and to a social hall with washrooms. You can entertain guests before and after your presentation sessions - for standing cocktails, networking and even seated dinner service.

Venue Layout
The venue comprises of the entire building at 230 Niagara Street - its a detached building with 4 drive-up parking spots on the lot (bordering Niagara Street.)
With two double-glass-door entrances from the parking, there is a lot of flexibility to direct guest flow. They can enter the main enterance and exit from the studio side if need be (great for pop-ups.)
The main entrance leads into a welcome reception space and open concept kitchen area - behind that is a social space which is, by default, setup with 6 black high tops and 12 stools. This area can be reformatted by our team to support seated dining, row seating or tabled conference setups.
Just 3 steps down past 2 washrooms from the 'Innovation Lab' social side of the building, you step into the presentation studio - its a lofty space with 16ft tall ceilings (with theatrical lighting and load-bearing truss.)
In the North-East corner of the studio we have a cornerless corner - this unique infinity effect makes the two walls merge with the optical illusion of them disappearing. With our 3 massive projectors turned on, the atmospheric effect on seated audiences is amazing.
Event venue rental comes with a full AV package, pre-configured and supported with our in-house technical production team
The StartWell Event Studio is a truly unique venue - designed for corporate events that require a high impact stage experience, with space for networking and meals.
The facility has been pre-rigged for turn-key events; with theatrical lighting, PA systems, projection equipment and high end video cameras - for recording and streaming content live.
Because our equipment is pre-installed and configured we maintain a very high standard of quality each and every time you rent the venue.
Here's a quick break-down of what's under the hood:

Social Hall
- Ceiling mounted projector - with pull down screen on the back wall
- PA system (you can use mics in this space or pipe the stage audio in - so you hear the same thing throughout the venue.)

Presentation Studio
- 3 Ceiling mounted projectors (projected on curved cyclorama walls - one behind the stage area, 2 on the long side wall)
- PA system (multiple mic setups - from lavs to headsets to handhelds with music playback inbetween presentations. Sound can pass through to the Social Hall for the same thing throughout.)
- Stage lighting - 2 custom focus areas; for an intimate 360 stage or a main stage (presenter in middle of room) at the back of the space.
- Options for presentation source - run presentations from our computers (mac) or your own; we have connections wired to stage for HDMI input.
- Confidence monitor - The stage features a monitor to see a clock and presenter nodes from your slide deck. Can also show other video sources or a mirror of the wall projection behind the stage.
- Multi-cam video - 4 cinema grade cameras with remote-controlled pan/tilt/zoom. Wall mounted with no cables on floor - producers control from mezzanine above the room. Recordings and streams are optional add-ons.

Our staff cinematographers capture all the action, and our technology is ceiling mounted - with no cables or tripods on the floor to distract your speakers and guests.

The perfect location in downtown Toronto
You don't need to travel far to create compelling audience experiences and content - the StartWell Event Studio is in between King and Queen Street West. Streetcars run on both and can take you to the subway in 10 minutes. Our neighborhood is commercial/residential - we're walking distance to great restaurants, bars and team building activities.
We have parking on lot plus there are paid lots nearby and its easy to jump off Lakeshore Boulevard or the highway onto Strachan if you're driving to the venue. The Exhibition Place GO station is a short walk away.

This spacious suite is perfect for all types of large corporate gatherings - from meetings to thought leadership sessions to seminars/trainings to socials. Fully furnished with layout options - plus full AV for stage presentations, content recording and live streaming. The space has a mixture of comfy lounge seating, hightop bar/eating areas and row seating plus a presentation space - all located just above our espresso bar at reception and looking onto King Street from a glass wall.

Unique private suite with its own retail access from King Street, lounge setup, open concept bar with cold storage, flexible furnishing options for theatre/rows, workshops, cocktails and conferences.
